Whoops, I did not mean to close this thread after I posted, sorry.
 
Wait, what? This is the first I've heard of that. What I've heard is that we get paid time and a half aka holiday pay for any time worked during the 24 hours of Thanksgiving, and that's it. Do we get paid as if we worked our average daily hours that day, at our regular pay rate? That's how my other jobs have done it but I can't remember how Target does it.

You'll get paid for your average hours that day if you are considered full-time (so, if you average 35 hours, you'll be paid for 7 hours that day. (35hrs/5days worked= 7 avg hrs per day), whether or not you work. Usually it only applies to team leads b/c Target doesn't let a lot of team members get enough hours to be considered full time. This is completely separate than the time and a half you receive for working the holiday. As usual, I suppose, laws may vary by state.
