If you spend $75 or more on Friday you get a 20% off one shopping trip coupon to use the week after. Fine print doesn't mention any exclusions. Hmmmm.....

Yeah, is this going to be a Catalina thing (which would be an issue since they don't have those in electronics) or is the poor, tired cashier going to have to remember to hand it out (and the back up people won't remember or know) or what? How exactly is this fiasco going to work?

For my first Black Friday, we had a gift card offer that would prompt on the screen once the guest's total reached a certain amount. Obviously, a coupon works differently from a gift card, but maybe there will be a prompt on the screen telling us to give the guest a coupon?

Back up cashiering is usually something you don't have to worry about on BF...at least at my store anyway.

Anyone else notice that the Black Friday Preview dot on the front page looks like it's covering up the spot where it would normally say "Doors open at xxx?" Not trying to be paranoid, but to me this suggests that they could still change the time.

Just looked throught the rest of the ad and 8pm is everywhere...but still lol.

So after looking through the ad, it's still the same things (to be expected). I have to say though, the entertainment deals are much better IMHO than in years past. The video game deals are lacking. But I think the saturday sale thing is kind of cool for trees and wrapping paper. Sadly, I have to say that I guess I'll be shopping some of our sales on BF after my shift.

Unless one of the cashiers pulls a NCNS and you get sucked into cashing for half of your shift because the asshat didn't feel like coming to work. Happened to me last year.
