If I clock in 5 minutes early, can I clock out 5 minutes early as well? Or is that frowned upon/not allowed? Thanks!

Depends on how well your store watches attendance. It shows up the punch in early and punch out early. Talk to your team lead.

Clocking in/out by 5 early/late minutes is within the grace period.

Is there a reason you want to leave 5 minutes early? Just being nosy.

It could be frowned upon if you leave before your relief has arrived, but if you punched in five minutes early you should leave five minutes early to avoid working over your allotted time. If your state requires overtime pay for working over eight hours that will keep you from getting overtime, and overtime is frowned upon. If you need to leave five minutes early to catch a bus, or pick someone up, or another “good reason”, talk to your TL or ETL and they will probably work something out for you. Good luck!
