Archived Closing Expert pay grade

Will Closing Expert be at a higher pay grade than base pay? The responsibilities look like everything that was required of a sales associate, plus being responsible for a specific department, picking up flow’s slack, creating & pulling EXFs, signing, and PTM. Oh, and all while taking care of OPUs.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear like it according to the rollout guide. Closing experts will be at the new base (PG35). I’m a little worried that the position could end up being a bit “used” like GSAs in the past. It is entirely possible for leaders to give more responsibility to the closing expert than what the rollout guide specifies. Of course, that makes for a good stepping stone role to showcase talent if you’re trying to develop. But ASANTS (even though modernization is trying to curb this).

Edit: I wanted to add that they probably believe a consistent schedule and guaranteed hours are enough compensation for the position.

I imagine it will work like GSA; same pay, more responsibility, set hours (which is key)
