F&B Folks: Help me understand what your biggest tech challenges are in

Hey folks,

I help prioritize and design the tech the F&B team members use.

What I would love to know

  • What tech (data, functionality,..) do you need to improve your happiness and productivity?
  • What do you waste the most time doing with any of our tech?
  • Or what results in the most food waste or unhappy customers looking for food?
We get some ideas from Ops and FDC/directors folks on what is important. But a lot can get lost or miscommunicated. Especially with a big company. I want to hear what people who do the work every day say and push back against priorities from above if I have to.

Why am I doing this here?
  • We have much less of a travel budget than I expected this year. So we haven't gotten much of a chance to travel outside the Twin Cities metro. I want to open up channels especially for people outside of MN to be heard
  • Some store leadership has been very protective or turning us away. Especially with the holidays approaching.
Feel free to DM too if you would prefer that

I'll also post a summary of topics brought up in DMs to see if that sparks any other ideas or thoughts. I'll wait a lil to do that though

This isnt exactly a tech issue but it would be nice if items in the coolers or freezers go clearance earlier as its not like other areas where you can put it on random endcaps since it is temp sensitive. Tech wise maybe a way to be more hands free in the freezer or some type of solution that would allow for freezer gloves to be used better with devices. The screens can freeze and just keep clicking random spots on the screen or just be difficult to use and keep your hands warm.
