Someone told me that my first paycheck will be mailed to me is this true? Also if I'm not working on the day the pay checks come out can I still go to the store and get it or do I have to wait until I work?

Unless you have direct deposit, you'll need to swing by the store to pick up your check.
The only time they mail checks is if you quit & it's your last check.

Yeah, last checks are mailed. First checks are picked up, even if you signed up for direct deposit, as that takes time to be processed.

Check with your leadership as ASANTS. Some stores keep checks at the fitting room and others may keep them at the TSC.

Yeah, never fitting room at my store, because they wouldn't trust the operator with the checks, (we had TM's take other TM's checks and cash them at party stores), but HR often has them early in the day on Friday. They give them to me when they go on breaks, and then take them back. When they leave for the day they give them back to me, and then I keep them from then on until they've all been collected.

At my store, the checks are locked up at TSC. Only a TL or above can get them, then they must be signed out.

My store was like that except that the HRTM could pass them out when he was there.

Yes I believe our HRTM does as well. I don't even think about her usually because I don't see her. She works 7-3:30 M-F. I work almost all closing shifts.
