So this was about two years ago when I just finished high school. It was summer time and I got a letter in the mail about the marines. They offered me a free shirt or I think it was a lanyard and a packet with infos about the marines.

I've already got a boat load of calls about the army and I just found it disrespectful to tell them no... also I'm not good at saying no.

Well basically, a marine recruiter showed up to my work but he was just in every day clothes and asked "hey are you ___ (my name)?" And then he started talking about the marines and asked me to come to a meeting

I never responded to the guys texts and he shows up again three days later asking where I am

And I think he showed up one more time as well

I was thinking about the marines at one point. But basically a guy who looked like a everyday person - found out where I worked, found me at the perfect time on my schedule (twice) and knew who I was right off the bat.

Yes, they have lists courtesy of your school. Some recruiters are snakes. Marine recruiters especially, at least in my experience.

Remind him you can report him to his SO ad well as file a report with the police for stalking/ harassment. They tend to back off after that. 😛

It was a while back, I should of said that but oh well lol. It was just kind of interesting how they knew where i worked. Coworker told me a guy came looking for me by name and i asked who he looked like.

if i were you i would talk to HR/Operator and request they no longer give out your schedule to anyone but you, if its bothersome.

I had a Marine recruiter strike up a conversation with me while I was working and he kept pushing for me to come by and learn more. It was awkward because I couldn't find a way to quickly disengage, but also funny because I'm a out of shape, scruffy guy and how badly do they need people if he's approaching me?

Less funny was how he kept coming around trying to recruit people and AP didn't want to do anything because "OUR TROOPS," more or less.
