Lately I have been hearing that only TL and ETL's get Christmas and Thanksgiving paid for. I could have sworn if you work an average of 30 hours you do get paid for Christmas and Thanksgiving. No-one at my Target knows. STL says one thing, HR ETL says another and then I hear something else even from others.

So anyone knows?

Is Target that cheap now that they don't even pay TMs for Christmas?

While i'm not sure for ETL's, as team leads we get 8 hours for the holidays plus time and a half if we clock in. Team members only get time and a half for holidays they work.

full time TMs get their average daily hours paid for thanksgiving and Christmas, TLs get 4 additional holidays, New year's, memorial day, 4th of July, and veterans day I believe

Wait, it's July? Isn't, it? Do the job 100% first, is my suggestion. Then think about other holidays. Tl get the time & a half.

That remark is kinda rude. I was asking cause the results of the best team survey is out and as usual it's low. Other team members brought it up in the chat session and the HR ETTL didn't quite know. I do my job 110%.

Sorry for the comment. Your posting didn't say you were a tl or tm. On tm's, they used to get to paid time and a half on holidays. It was taken away a few years ago. You can take a vacation day, if its a normal schedule work day for you.

I was told that if you have been at Target for at least 6 months and have an average work week of 32 hours, you get paid for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I still got some sort of holiday pay on Memorial Day/4th of July, I believe it was time and a half.

It's actually the OTHER way around, meaning, that the ONLY holidays that FULL time TM's get are Xmas and Thanksgiving, NO other holidays are paid for TM level employees. Be careful, if you average hours were NOT above 31.5 at the time of the ABEC (Annual Benefits Calculation) you will NOT be eligible for either of those, sorry!

I see on my latest check, that I wasn't paid anything for Christmas. My average hours are consistantly over 32, and I worked Christmas Eve, and the day after Christmas. What gives?

Only TL's and above get paid for holidays they don't work.

It *used* to be that specialists also got paid for holidays they don't work. Not sure if the TMs who now fill the old specialists roles get the same deal, but I doubt it.

That is not entirely true. ANY team member who has a yearly average of 38 hours (I think it's 38; it's around there) or more is eligible for that holiday pay. That typically is only TL's because they're the only ones who get that guaranteed 40, but my PA counterpart got holiday pay this year because she'd kept her average up (I myself took too many vacations, lol).

Getting that yearly average is really hard, though. It took our other PA two years of working pretty much full time to finally have yer YTD be enough...taking time off pretty much kills it unless your average is above the cutoff. Remember, this isn't your MTD average or your weekly average which is calculated every paycheck...your YTD average is only set once and it's in January or February, I think.

As I said above I got paid for Christmas (always have). I'm not a TL and my average hrs, even at best, were never above 36. I got paid for this past Christmas and my average has dropped to 30.5.
