About to start training soon. Just curious. Heard that they over hire knowing that half wont pass.

Interns have a final project, and the vast majority are offered permanent positions. EIT is different. You are already hired. Because Target does so much outside hiring for ETL, they lose people who don't understand what they are getting into.

I dont know about a test, but as a general rule and courtesy to others, please proof read what you write and post.
It’s disgusting that you are wanting to be an ETL, but cant write a coherent sentence.

This more likely applies to the interns.

Interns work for 10 weeks, complete a project, present it to various leaders, and receive a decision on whether or not they can become an EIT after graduation. Internships are like a test trial to see if anyone is a good fit. Neither side has any obligation to continue this employment after the internship ends.

Half of these interns don't make it because they didn't know what they were getting themselves into. They have this expectation set in their mind about what their experience would be like but it is not at all what they imagined. During their internship, they are often assigned tasks that TMs would do (i.e. folding, pushing, etc) by the store leaders. They get offended that they have to do physical labor and it shows in their attitude. These people usually quit, choose not to take the offer, or receive no offer.

For EITs, it is a bit different. These people have already graduated from college and are ready to begin their career. Target plans to have them become an ETL unless they, themselves, mess up badly during training in business college.
