At odd numbered stores at least. About to go in to get this thing knocked out.

Anyone else sharing in the fun today?

We did ours last week. Not sure if they fixed it but you can't send out the Garth Brooks gift set. It was too late when we did it

I wonder if my store will actually do the scan this time or let it slide like the last one.

We're at like 2500 pieces. Our garth is all priced and on the floor. Too bad. :(

This scan reduced my CDs to basically nothing but new release thank god. I think DVDs went down to maybe 4 sections of wacos in the back. Oldest thing I think I saw was a copy of Now 24?

It was so easy haha... was scheduled 4-12, finished at 8 with 4 people. I guess other stores/peeps did solo scan or two.

3 TMs in my store and we finished it in 5 hours
We scanned out Garth Brooks anyway.

Good riddance
It was on workbench, it says don't send out GB because they accidentally allowed it be on the scan.

Heh, we forgot to check workbench when I started scanning at 6am and those GB sets is the first thing I scanned. Wasn't sure if I could send the case pack so I just opened all of them up and put them in the DVD repack. 170 went out; I left two on the sales floor.

Our garth brooks sets just went clearance lol. had 380 of those things....maybe sold 2 casepacls worth all season..
My sales of Garth were number 1 in my district. Sold over 300 in 4th qtr. I told my team & frontend to keep everything filled! Sales & cartwheel signs were all over the place:)
then, I got 200 more. I was able scan the 200 in & bye bye, only 6 copies to markdown:)

Oh we saw the workbench listing, but we still sent it back lol

@Hardlinesmaster you've lived up to your name and also made Garth Brookes very happy lol.:):p
Here is what happened:
I notice that my front fixture was empty every 2 days. There was over 10 plus cases in the back So, I pulled everything out, filled the fixture & put a 4 foot shelve up above some batteries endcap next to electronics register. the rest is sales history for my store.

Seeing a drive sales opportunity for your store, gets more hours for your team. Grab it & go!

For some reason my front end team hates the new release rolling racks of mmb at the checklanes, they're always trying to ditch them early. Wish they'd just spend the effort into their endcaps instead of complaining about things we're contractually obligated to do.

The former entertainment specialist and I did our scan. We were there was 12.5 hours. My STL requisitioned our second lunch. We sent back $50k's worth of shit. It took everything that wasn't active or a street date. The next week we realized some idiot flexed out a bunch of discontinued crap in entertainment the day before the scan and we failed to notice. I was so pissed.

That is the first thing every new ETL who gets electronics does is have us pull out all the Dcode in the back to flex it out.. Every damn one of them.

I have to remind my STL at least 2-3 times a year on why it is a bad idea to flex discontinued movies and music to the floor. Usually I frame it as "we can do it, but we'll have to spend hours later to undo it"

A few years ago the leftovers from the BF movie shippers were sent to the back, and rather than backstock them they just loaded them up into some repacks and shoved them on some out of the way shelves. After the scan I noticed the repacks were still there. The ETL in charge of the scan had no idea about the repacks.

I'll have to check and see if it happened again. Oh that wacky BR team!

My ETL is new in the role and telling the team to flex out. I told the team back stock it or you will find a way to sell it for it not being sent back. Most of the stuff went back to backstock lol.
