Been with target for 2 maybe 2 1/2 months. I work flow and for the most part I enjoy the work and people I work with. There's just one person who is constantly bitching about my pallets. The only person. One time he said it was too low and then when he came back it was too high. I just wanted to tell him to make up his fucking mind. But I really do like working here so ive held my composure until today. Hes always making side comments under his breath but will never say anything to me. I've never been the person to just sit there and let someone run their mouth to me but somehow ive kept it held back for this long and today I just left 2hrs into shift, didn't say anything to anyone. I'd say from hr,to the people I work with, I'm well liked and never had a problem with anyone, so what do you think would happen if I showed up to my 4:00am shift tomorrow? Im thinking either I would just be told to leave, or given a chance to explain why I left. I know i shouldn't have done it but it was better than getting in a fight, getting fired + an assault charge.

I probably would've taken a break and talked to your TL at that point. I also would feel so guilty about leaving that I would go back TODAY to try and clear things up, not just show up tomorrow and hope for the best. You can't let personal dynamics and challenging personalities in the workplace get the better of you. Hopefully they are gracious and understanding but don't be surprised if they aren't.

Yikes. Talk to your TL/ETL ASAP. Had you done that to begin with I'msure they would've been happy to separate you and make sure you never worked together again. If you manage to keep your job you're really gonna have to prove yourself over the next few weeks.

At my store if you leave mid shift without telling anyone you're gone. No questions asked. (That was actually how we FINALLY got rid of our most loathed seasonal TM last year haha)

Someone did that at my store back in March, just left at 3:30am during a 10pm-6am shift on their third day of having the job. Still don't know how he got out of the building without setting off the alarms. He came back a couple nights later on a Sunday to "explain himself" spoke to one of the TL's who told him he still had a job. ETL wasn't there. Came in on Monday to work his shift...again ETL was not there. Came back again on Tuesday to work when ETL WAS there and the ETl said "what are you doing? Get the hell out of here!" And he was gone lol. He tried to explain himself but the ETl was having none of it. The ETL was so angry that he had been allowed to work on the Monday when he left specific instructions that if this employee came in, not to let him work.

So basically, all depends on how your ETL or store personally feels about it.

May be considered job abandonment and you may be termed.

This right here, great advice above. Atone for it sooner than later, if they term you you are going to unhireable and gone for good.

I do understand your frustration but you should never let one person dictate how you feel about your job. Especially considering you seem otherwise happy.

You could talk to them and see what they say. I understand how people or even a person can get under your skin. If I was going to talk to them I would go in and tell them why you left. I would also tell them you know you should had said something etc but you just had to get out of there. I wouldn't beg them to take you back and or to forgive you. I would just let them know you are sorry and you had time to think about it and see what they say.

I was pretty close to leaving the other day when a certain etl was lod. My stl was there as well, so I talked to her and told her how close I was to leaving. She told me just wait it out and that she'd talk to the etl.

IDK if you'll still be "well-liked" after leaving your team in a lurch like that because of a personality conflict.

It would've been far better had you gone straight to your TL/ETL/HR but you lost your leg in the argument when you walked out.
Your best bet might be to throw yourself at their feet & beg for another chance but don't be surprised if they say no despite needing every hand they can get.

You haven't been been there long enough to be "well liked" and by leaving mid shift you proved why. Typical Christmas help lmao. Don't expect to be offered a job after Christmas.

Hang him by his thumbs over the entrance to the breakroom.

If he still wants to work there after that, so be it.

He paid his dues.

Everythings fine so if you just came to bullshit & not answer the question, suck my dick

Well , at least follow up and ket us know how you approached leadership, and what they said.

Also, keep in mind what they said now and what they say in January, when payroll is slim to none, may be very different.
