Sales Floor Let's meet in the Middle; an Electronics/Tech thread

We haven't been able to keep them in. Got 5 switches, 5 liter the other day and sold them all within maybe 3 hrs. Plenty of PS4s though, full cases plus backstock.
Should get that ff7 remake to start rolling in maybe that’ll push some ps4s out the door.

I find it amusing that we can't seem to give away PS4s and Xboxes while Switches sell instantly. Yet, we seem to sell a whole lot more games for the other consoles than for Switches.

I think it's the catalog of family friendly titles plus AC release driving sales there. The multiplayer Mario titles are easy for families to play together without a lot of darker content like 1st person shooters, zombie titles or overly complicated rpg systems.

So chat bot said the coral switches should still ring up like normal tomorrow and that the date is 4/10 because a vendor didn’t fulfill an order and they need to limit online sales.

Yeah, I was very confused when I saw that today when I was preparing the 3 tier for tomorrows releases. Never used MyHelp before, so good to know about it if I ever have issues like that again. Anyways, I have barely any PS4s, Pro or otherwise. Does anyone also know if we're getting a FF7R display?

We are starting to get in the Kate Spade product that launches in a few weeks I wonder with everything going on if we will have a influx of people the day it launches

i leave notes for the team...
pls dont touch this 3 tier im working on a project

pls...

i come in and...they backstocked it and ruined the job i was doing in the back

im jus so livid like why the FUCK would you all just create m o r e work for yourself by backstocking it

and then more work for me because i need to redo everything i fucking did

Why in God's name can my store's Leaders, and the other Tech TMs, realize it is counter productive to push 15 cases of books on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, when we have to have the revisions done by Tuesday morning? Just take the time to do the revisions first those days, then push the cases. It saves time on stocking/moving, stowing/backstocking, and staging. Just use active books as placeholders for the Tuesday new releases. We also have our Tech revisions to do and I would like to get them done before the week after they are due.

imagine having tech do entertainment

those were the day’s & on top of that even having a Specialist for Entertainment which sole job was entertainment 40hrs a week and the department was spotless always zoned to a T push/complete daily & the backroom isles for entertainment spot on clean and organized

yeah my old etl gm use to be an entertainment specialist he told me about those good ol days

i keep fighting w the etl gm because she keeps telling me to push/zone/pull entertainment

and at this point idk if its even worth arguing

like can i get in trouble for that? i tell them give me gm hours for gm work, my etl speciality says i dont have to and she doesnt let us get non speciality to cover us for the same reason... its taking hours from a diff area

We do get hours from GM for Entertainment, but on weeks with revisions like this past one, they are not enough. Also, we probably give back from Tech hours more than we get for Entertainment since the opening Tech Consultant is really the one covering Toys, Sporting Goods, Pets, and Rear Seasonal before the GMTMs get in late morning or early/late afternoon. Plus, the closer is always pulled to zone those areas as well.

Sounds like a GM problem!
You aren’t wrong. Usually we have someone scheduled under GM for entertainment at least a few hours a week, but this week it was only a single 5 hour shift today...leaving the revisions to me.

I generally don’t mind doing the entertainment revisions as it gives me something to do when tech is really slow and I don’t think its worth arguing with leaders that it’s not my job.

sooooo what do you all do with prepaid cards?

like for phones and video games

IMG_20200405_214343.jpg

cos i rly feel like this aint it

The windows and office subscriptions can be tossed. Everything else has a home. What does not fit in your prepaid phone fixtures can go on a side cap. Video games of course go in their respective aisle.

what if even the side caps are filled? like this stuff is f i l l e d and we have no idea where the extras go

cos from what i remember cards are vendor and arent supposed to be backstocked and stowed in the fixtures

but we dont have those back in tech and the ones by stationary and checkl anes we do have are also filled with general gift cards
