LOA Internship

Hello everyone, I've been a TL at Target for the last couple of years, and within the last couple of months, I've transferred to a different store for a different TL role. A temporary three-month internship that I applied for in January with the government was recently unfrozen, and they just offered me the position. What kind of LOA would I be eligible to take, and what does the store see on their end, and what info should I divulge to pay and benefits? If I have to put in my two weeks, it wouldn't be the end of the world, as I'm finishing my college this year. Thank you

Target does not allow LOAs for other employment, including paid/unpaid internships unfortunately.

Could explore taking a mental health leave which I think falls under FMLA. You’d probably need documentation signed off on by a doctor

I worked a couple days during the week and weekends during my post-Bachelor internship. Luckily the store I worked at during my internship was my original store and they were currently having staffing issues for their FoodAve. So they loved having me back in that role.

If this internship is coordinated through your school, you could use the reason for LOA was for school.

Any HR expert TMs know how college internships are classified for LOA???
