Why do mir's come in when there is zero on hand? Like when one drops for a single dpci and its one item on the mir and there is zero on hand? Do you just close out the mir and thats that or is there another procedure I need to do? Also why do book mirs come with multiple zero's on them?

I believe the reason is that they are company wide and your store sold through the copies you had on hand therefor you have 0 OH but another store in the company may have 20 so they have to issue it to all stores to make sure (There's also the possibility you could show 0 OH but have locations in the back due to bad research/zone)

^This.

I read somewhere once that if the on hand is 0 a pull will not be dropped for that specific item even if it actually has a backroom location. I could be wrong though because that doesn't make any sense, but then again...we all know some things just don't make sense at work.
