Whenever Target calls I always let it go to voicemail and callback minutes later. Nothing against HR and I'm sure it's frustrating but I really hate talking on the phone and I'd rather know the times and days they're asking for and have time to check my calander instead of like talking on the phone and telling them I have to go check my calander blah blah blah

lmao it happened again just a few minutes ago

LOD: Hey CTT777, are you able to come in tomorrow at 8 AM and work a full day? Bob and Alice on flow team are no longer with the company as of today and we could use the help!
Me: Sure! And since I'm already scheduled to come in at 8 tomorrow does that mean I get paid double?
LOD: ...... DAMMIT!!! I was looking at the wrong grid!
Me: Okay fine how about 1.5x then?
LOD: OH YOU

I will get the better of them someday, in my tireless quest to hit the level cap of 56 hours per week

I can't believe they named the TM's who called out.

They shouldn't have said anything about that.

Not normal practice.

I personally could use the hours now since I know what awaits in January but they can't call us in willy nilly now, especially now that new labor laws now dictate that we can no longer be called in to fill a shift without at least 72 hours notice and we cant stay past schedule without signing a paper saying we agreed to it.

Where is this socialist worker's uptopia, here in Florida it is just expected you will come in and stay late if it serves their needs.

New York. Mostly geared toward retail and fast food workers, great for those with families and all.

"NYC Fair Workweek regulations include: providing no less than 14 days written notice of schedules; a fine between $10 and $75 for any schedule changes within two weeks; mandatory trading of shifts between employees; requiring employees to have 11 hours off between shifts; priority for picking up new shifts to existing employees before hiring new employees; and allowing employees to deduct part of their salary to a nonprofit in donation."

most of that sounds like a pile of red tape dreamed up by a useless bureaucrat who thinks he's the dungeonmaster of labor laws. My definition of "socialist worker's utopia" would be a $20/hr minimum wage for people over age 21, health and dental insurance with a deductible of zero dollars, quarterly bonuses and double rate for OT. you know, stuff that actually pays your bills

That's more of of socialist's workers dream in this current climate.

they have the age-tiered minimum wage in Australia which I like to bring up in labor debates with people who think hiking the minimum wage will demolish the tiny budgets of impoverished megacorporations...lol just imagine how bootyblasted Target would be over having to pay people 30 bucks an hour for OT (instead of paying jack shit and letting the man + taxpayers shoulder the costs of more welfare payments as they do now)

You mean our target as there actually is an Australian Target.
