We were $500,000+ over sales for March, then had a "huge visit" last week, and used way too many hours to make the store look "perfect". So, now they have to cut 200 hours over this week and next.

What a crappy way to treat the TMs that helped get those sales...shit like this is what makes people start talking about unions.

It's always about what have you done for us this week and Spot doesn't care that you have kids to feed or electricity bills to pay.
It's the companies job to make a profit but it's the execs job to make sure they are not doing it at our expense.
If this kind of behavior continues, they will be looking at organization on a massive level and threatening peoples jobs will have very little impact.

That's what happened in our store....plus with the unreasonable sales goals (Easter was at this time last year) we have ridiculous little hours

yeah uh for some perspective .. we get about 300 hours a week for softlines. :|
omg! our softlines is usually about 100 hours.
My hours went up a bit on the new schedule, but only because they went back to allocating market hours again, only 8 for the week mind you, but every little bit helps :)
