On Demand Team Member

So told my ETL/TL that I will be putting my 2 weeks in. Because Target was no longer my primary job and wanted more free time. So HR approached me with becoming a On Demand Team Member. Meaning, I won't be required to be scheduled each week. I must work at least one shift every 6 weeks. I can only be scheduled if I agree to the shift. If I were to call out of the shift I agreed to. I would be terminated without warning. I retain the right to use my team member discount and any other benefits I have (none because I no longer work enough to qualify for health insurance). And can pick up shifts if I so choose, of which fulfill the 1 shift every 6. weeks requirement. Sounds like nice right? Anybody hear about this being a thing? First I've heard of it.
