Hi all,
I just started working at Target about 2 months ago and I'm wondering if you ever get a pay raise? If you don't become a team lead and just stay a regular team member, is there any way to get a pay raise?

That is so unfair. You would think a multi million dollar Corp that is concerned about retention rates, they would “bump” long time hires every time the minimum for a specific job was raised. Reward those that have stayed. No way is it fair that someone seasoned and fully trained should be making the same as a hire off the street.

But, Target isn't concerned about retention rates.

They used to be able to. It’s been a few years since I knew for sure though, so that may have changed.

Long time TMs who work hard tend to work their way up the pay scale & become too expensive to keep around whereas newbies are cheap.
Your best bet for sticking around is mediocrity; that way you've been around long enough to know what to do but your raises are low enough to keep you cheap.

I've been with the company a long time and had this happen 3 times. It did go through DTL and yes, they all know my name because I'm that good.🙄🙄
