Are they giving out mid year raises this year like they have the past couple years?
We have mid year check ins. Never have gotten a mid year raise. we need a cost of living raise. 🤣Are they giving out mid year raises this year like they have the past couple years?
I've never heard of a mid year raise. They have given out mid year bonuses for the last couple of years though. Those should be coming in a bit, on a check in October. We got them in 2022 and 2023
We got them in California the past 2 years mine was 2% each time. This is separate from the bonuses which come in October.I've never heard of a mid year raise. They have given out mid year bonuses for the last couple of years though. Those should be coming in a bit, on a check in October.
I’m in CA and we have not gotten a mid year raise these past two years. Certain team members have received a mid year bonus. We got them in California the past 2 years mine was 2% each time. This is separate from the bonuses which come in October.
Who the heck would pick working at McDonald's over Target? Fast food sucks. I'd deal with collecting carts all day before I'd toil in a hot kitchen or stand at a counter taking fast food orders.I'm really proud of the Gen Zers. They'll just walk out because they can go make the same wage down the street at the McDonalds and they don't put up with the increasing amounts of work. Too many guys getting hired for, say, fulfillment, and getting shipped up front to do carts. They're like "this is not the job I applied for"
Because they're not gonna stay at this job very long anyway. 90% of the Gen Zers working here are doing it temporarily and you get free food at McDsWho the heck would pick working at McDonald's over Target? Was it at the same time as a base pay increase? Lately they have been increasing pay for veterans by 2% when they increase the base pay. It happened at my store for PG35 earlier this year and for PG45 last year. I think those were in the spring though. We got them in California the past 2 years mine was 2% each time. A lot of fast food pays $2+ more an hour around here.Because they're not gonna stay at this job very long anyway. 90% of the Gen Zers working here are doing it temporarily and you get free food at McDs
Not worth it for me unless I was desperate. Target all day over the two weeks from hell I spent at Arby's.A lot of fast food pays $2+ more an hour around here.
*waves from Starbucks counter*I'd deal with collecting carts all day before I'd toil in a hot kitchen or stand at a counter taking fast food orders.
Been with Target almost 14 years and never got a mid year raise. We got a bonus in October for some team members. Maybe it was just your store. We got them in 2022 and 2023
$17 dollars would be awesome, I could use the money. $17 would also suck because new team members would make the same as me a 14 year veteran. Our store still hires at 15/hr we cannot find anyone. Other retail stores in the area start at 17 we need a bump in starting wages.
Not in my town Target pays more than McDonald’s or any fast food.I'm really proud of the Gen Zers. That is an issue that always pissed me off.It would also suck because new team members would make the same as me a 14 year veteran.
That would be a good opportunity to look for other employment with zero risk to losing your raises (I'm not sure how vacation accruement would be affected if you quit and are rehired again later)$17 dollars would be awesome, I could use the money. $17 would also suck because new team members would make the same as me a 14 year veteran.
If you've been here 5 years you accrue vacation time at twice the normal rate, I thinkThat would be a good opportunity to look for other employment with zero risk to losing your raises (I'm not sure how vacation accruement would be affected if you quit and are rehired again later)
Thanks still 15/hr at my store snd others in my area. I’ll check back on Sunday 9/22.Looks like a lot of stores are seeing increases for PG35 and PG38 effective 9/22. Haven't seen any increases for PG45 yet.
Since Target doesn't like to communicate, you can check yourself by going on Workday, typing your store's location in the search bar, selecting it, and scrolling down to the Comp Rates table under Additional Data. You can do this for any store in the company if you're curious.
