Archived Should a voided payment post to my redcard account?

On Sunday I made a purchase with my redcard. After the transaction was complete I remembered I had a gift card that would have covered more that 50% of the transaction. I asked the cashier if anything could be done and she said we could fix it.


We went over to guest service and they said they could void the payment and redo the transaction with the gift card.


Both transactions showed up as pending to my account. A day later both transactions have posted to my bank account and there is no sign of a credit. Will the credit take a few days longer? Or was something done incorrectly. Forgive me for not knowing more about POS transactions - I work mainly sales floor.

The credit usually takes a few days...could take up to two weeks.

Thank you for the reply. I appreciate it - now I won't have to go back to the store and take up time at guest service.

Yeah, post voids are a pain in the ass. The second payment almost always posts before the credit from the first payment.
