Archived Vacation Time and Sick Days

I've have worked for Target now a little over a year and was wondering when do I start/how do I start earning Sick Days and Paid Vacation Time? I thought you have to have so many hours to start getting that but Does it have to be within a year or does your total hours carry from year to year and just keep adding up.
