Oh, I know. 10 years here. :cool: I had an end-to-end SLs team member run me down today with a "repack" with literally three things in it - all of which she passed on her way to find me. You're telling me just because you are "only" scheduled to do SLs, that you can't touch anything else...

What ever happened to "One Team, One Dream"?

I can only hope but it just seems to get worse and worse as time goes on. We just "celebrated" their fourth year on our team. They were slow/uneffective from the beginning but our old Log-TL never coached anyone unless the Log-ETL forced him because he (in his own words) "hated making waves"...

TTOTM: you have been here for years. You are the last person in the door for every shift that you *decide* to show up for. You are the first person to break and the last person out. You refuse to use any equipment what-so-ever. No matter the workload, you find a way to stretch it to fill...

It's like an ETL threw up in a cup.

It was communicated around 6 or 7 AM that all cashiers would have to manually correct the prices. Wasn't around the front long enough today to see how well that worked out for the SCO crowd. Sure they weren't too pleasant.

TBF they could have been asked "Can I help you find something?" too much or just are super awkward. It's like when someone tells me "I hope you feel better" or "enjoy your [insert item here]" and I say, "you too!" only to facepalm three seconds later. :oops: But yeah, in the tone, super rude.

I just wish we still had a cheese dispenser (for soft pretzels mmm).

There's a TL that really needs to be an a-hole to me soon because we get along way too good and I can see it leading that way. Unfortunately, other than one ETL, we are lacking some serious man eye-candy these days. I mean...c'mon, isn't that part of their job requirements? Get on it, Target.

Absolutely no feedback other than here's your DEO and 5%. Apparently a lot of the reviews printed without any check marks in any of the categories. I'm a little miffed that they didn't even get to tell me to be a little nicer this time-a-round. :cool:

Backroom isn't hard per-say, just more involved than what a lot of people do on flow. You're more accountable (or should be) and they track your metrics using your login on the devices (or at least they used to). But, again, 4th quarter is hell on the entire store. If you can manage...

First, take everything that people tell you with a grain of salt. All stores aren't the same but we have sometimes upwards of 3 people working on the schedule with no communication between them. Those people leaving early aren't necessarily "ones he doesn't like". The hours just get plugged...

To that one 'Supermom' guest today...there are really no words. Telling your kids to "go play" while you browse is not smart. Not pulling them back to you when they decided to play tag is worse. When your son bolted full speed down and around five aisles then promptly tripped over his own...

As everyone else has said, with enough bodies willing to work together anything is possible. As far as pushing the line goes...I push and keep pushing. That's how the truck team was trained since inception at my store and that's what the ETLs expect. To them writing off a few broken cases is...

The main thing for doing a push all is to make sure the line is set up efficiently. Heavier areas need to be further down, lighter areas closer to the front. Back side of the line can be utilized for transition, softlines, and areas that don't need to be broke out (use flats if you have them)...
