Archived Who do I report our STL to for drug related offenses?

Please forgive the dramatic headline and I can understand any skepticism that follows, but I really don't know who to ask and I'm hoping someone reading this will be able to help or point me in the right direction. It has come to my attention that there is drug related activity at my store...

    Archived Backroom workload and hours

    - BR is scheduled 8 hours on truck days - They work, ideally, until all of the backstocking is done, which usually takes them until 2:30 or 3 PM - On non-truck days, they're scheduled 5 to 6 hours, starting at 6AM and ending at 11 or 12 - Flow Team Lead sets the line in the morning, not the BR -...

Archived How is cardboard handled at your store?

We have one team member from flow handle it during truck days. On non-truck days, everyone prays really hard that the compactor doesn't fill up too fast.

    Archived AE 2017

Fairly soon we'll have the ETL, STL, APBP, FATL, and the GSTL all combined into one mega position called the GESTLAFABP. Might be harsh, but will be very entertaining to hear TM's trying to pronounce it over the walkie.

Archived Another major change coming to Logistics?

I've heard the usual mutterings that most stores can expect to see the changes come late Spring, early Summer. Among the most popular pieces of rumor are Entire trailers will be palletized Trailers every day of the week with certain days being dedicated to one department Reduction of flow and...

Archived CO WORKERS DURING FLOW BREAKTIME

Oh my, what a horrible person this villain you know is. I am just so glad that our proud company has team members like you who are diligent, cooperative, and protect the Brand.

Archived Snow day? What does it take?

If it was up to my STL? We would never cancel on account of snow. Now the one Logistics ETL we had was pretty decent. If he saw the forecast called for some messy weather, three inches or more, he would either postpone or switch the truck day around for flow.

Logistics Hiding injuries for failing drug tests

They seldom, if ever, enforce drug tests at my store simply because they know 90% of the store would get termed due to the amount of team members who enjoy weed. That being said, if they cause an accident and someone else gets hurt, or if they do substantial damage, then their hands are tied...

Archived Does anyone ever read targets Facebook page?

On the subject of social media, while I seldom read Target's Facebook page, I do enjoy a dry chuckle that a few team leads add disclaimers to their Twitter pages saying "All opinions are my own." or "Opinions expressed are solely my own and do not express the views or opinions of my employer.".

I found this place after doing some peyote and walking in an Arizona desert for a month while trying to find my spirit guide.

    Archived Anniversary Today....

To survive 15 years at any job, let alone a retail job, is admirable. Congratulations! My store only observes anniversaries every three years.

    Archived Your stores breakroom?

Our STL would rather sacrifice an eye before he did that. No, flow doesn't get shift differential any more, but they do get a free bowl of cold cereal one day a month to show how fast, fun, friendly Target is. (Just don't tell them everyone else gets a free bowl of cereal as well, it'll hurt...

    Archived Your stores breakroom?

Off topic I know, but my store's flow crew works from 5:30 AM to whenever the STL decides to let them go home. So far they are responsible for 1. Setting the line in the morning 2. Unloading the truck 3. Pushing the freight 4. Organizing backstock and keeping it nice and tidy for the backroom...

    Archived Your stores breakroom?

I have to say that our team members are using our break room in an ingenious way. Since very few of them have medical coverage, they have taken to leaving their half eaten lunches in the refrigerator for months in an attempt to grow some home made penicillin. I mean why else would they do that?

Archived Steve Jobs... articulates exactly what is wrong with Target

My opinion, for what it's worth, is Target's biggest problem is it's inability to admit when they get things wrong. That instead of correcting the problems they have currently, they are more than happy to go from mistake to mistake to mistake.

Archived "Don't you know it's Christmas?!"

I knew our payroll was in deep doo-doo when our STL came in and took the last can of Who Hash.

Archived Another Xmas Eve callout question

Let me tell you a story that might shed some light on the topic. When I was a younger man, I chased the dollar and worked all sorts of hours in quest of larger and larger paychecks. I would be well rewarded for my dedication every pay day, and it was a source of pride when I saw that pay-stub...

Archived Have to do "brand team member"duties but am not paid as brand

I'm sorry to disagree, but I've seen it for myself. I am privy to certain things personnel-wise, and at my store, we have three flow members who are trainers, one in market, one in electronics, one in food avenue, one in the backroom, one in receiving, one in soft lines, and one for sales floor...
