Thanks, everyone! Made me feel better about my priorities.
I did get told I would be talked to, but I think holiday shit takes all focus. I dont care if they do or dont, really. My srTL said right off she wasn't upset with me.
Bad news is...two weeks out, and they did it again! Me speaking...
Sort of a vent, sort of looking for reassurance: I only callout when I'm sick. In over 2-years in SL (now Shoe tm) I always am in and ready to work. Tomorrow will be the first time I call out. No lying I'm sick, or using any reason. But there IS a reason, of course...HR keep screwing me in the...
My heart goes out to you. Same with our backroom: Shoes is as overcrowded as it is on the floor. As Shoe person, it feels like a loop of stuff that goes nowhere.
It's sad when STLs/ETLs put policy before fair judgment. A hardworking, respected tm deserves the benefit of the doubt when they can't come in at least, at most their dignity when spoken to about it. My management is beyond not perfect, but I earned this much from them. I had an ETL text me...
I actually like dressing nice for work. Its just hard when you're E2E. But hey, if Spot can bring store temp down to say, a brisk 80 degrees, or co-pay for a surgical procedure to alter my sweat glands...
I honestly feel like the truly bad part of this is that it's communicated like a Dictator's whims. There is a sign in clerical about not bringing drinks on the floor, yet THIS is "tell your peers" sort if thing. It's so serious, potentially, but being executed in a kind of rage or something...
Shit trainer. You ought to have at least one tm to shadow. But I think starting when 4Q is in full swing makes for less training and more "sink or swim" mindset. Make sure you, let your TL or ETL know if it keeps happening. You deserve the chance to learn right the first (or at least second)...
So our STL just implemented correctives for calling out on weekends for any reason. Says it's on account of bad attendance. Apparently not even a doctors note would change it. Seems cruel for those of us that are super dependable. Even heard an ETL say she thought it was too much. And I'm...
This is very true! tm's love to complain about the guests plowing through shoes (and it can often be quiet horrible) but when the truck push can't even bother about backstocking...your being sabotaged by your own! Then closers. I had a not-that-new tm ask "what's the point of pulling boxes...
Apperciate the honesty.
I feel stupid saying it, but I OFFERED to take the department. I think it was just the knowing I'd "own" something. Have an area I can make something of. I love detail work and a small area. But I wont say im not worried: Im definitely not getting things sugar coated...
Hey everyone, SL TM here! I am all but officially the new Shoe person at my Target. Shoes is pretty knarly, but I'm ok with it. However our last two Shoe TMs didnt last, the most recent literally NCNS her way out. Said she was pressured and overwhelmed. Claimed she even talked to our TL's and...
Technically, I'm told, Softlines tm's are all "stylists" and the E2E meant phasing out much of the VM team. But I am still getting moved into VM shifts and have been made a captain for style. (A fancy way of being given reponsiblities with no official promotion.) My question is, do Vmtl/vm's...
Yes, very helpful! Thank you! Yes, i believe the pogs are from the vmg. I realized also that my TL printed a list of pogs, which we never had ready when I trained. I was used to this long process. We had to go to Workbench ect. and lots of scrolling...to me. Lol! So having the pogs printed out...
I'm a softlines tm (with Spot a year and a half) and I've gradually gotten more time with the vmg and setting pogs, but NEVER on my own. I shadowed a brand tm but only 4 times with huge gaps between. I realize I ought to gave taken notes! I barely remember the basic process before pulling. All...
