Archived Anticipating a too-small raise - anything that can be done?

Last year I got $0.47. This year I was a "letter" lower (in a more challenging work center) and received $0.17. Uhhhh what....

I was told that it (the raise) was a percentage of your pay......I've gotten an E and an O in my first two reviews.....but I thought the percentage for them both was the same. Something is hinky in Target town.

Anyone getting over .25, you are LUCKY..... Highest I ever got was .20 for an E

No idea whos getting the EX and O's, but it seemed impossible to get.

I was very happy with my raise - 6.5% ..... I have crossed trained in many areas and ALMOST always come in when there are call outs. I don't need the extra hours but I just feel like its something I should do - to help my fellow TM's. I never complain and always try to have a smile and treat others (TM and guest) like I would want to be treated. In my over 5 years at target - I have never received less than 45 cents (except for my first raise at .17 prorated), and always have got O reviews.....personally I think its about attitude, and NO I am not a ass kisser, I don't need to work 40 hours a week and i just enjoy my time. Most of the folks I know he have gotton really low raises are the complainers or the ones who call out alot and seem to always be making some type of wave.....I am older (not that old but older) and I can tell you the grass isn't always green on the other side, yes it can be, but take what you can learn from Target and use to help you advance into something more where it be a Target or somewhere else :)

Review raises went down, not that should be a surprise to anyone.

O went down 8 cents since last year, not sure about the other "grades" but it's ridiculous, soon there wont be a yearly review raise!

7 cents for an E. Review done by someone who isn't my TL. Got a few IE for not being trained in areas they are putting me, as explained by them.

I got about 5% raise for an E this year....I think it was about the same last year for an O (maybe a full percentage or 6 cents difference). Still didn't like some of the comments but whatcha gonna do?

Well, perhaps your O went down by 8 cents, but you can't say O went down by 8 cents in general, since the raises aren't a flat amount but a percentage. For someone making less than you, the reduction in an O from last year to this would have been less than 8 cents; for someone making more, the reduction will have been more than 8 cents.

I'm surprised, though, that they would have the gall to actually lower the percentages. Raises (as part of compensation in general) were always one of the top two or three complaints on BTS company-wide...

I received a 3% raise for an O.

I'm grateful though

Paygrade capped? I had to give one of my TMs (a former specialist who was about a dollar over the cap) a 0% raise several years in a row because they wouldn't let me give him an EX. It was rough.

That is such dreck.
It's not like they're paying corporate salaries.
The very least they could do is give a cost of living increase.

I got a .37 cent increase with an E. I guess im happy. I was expecting like 07 cents haha. Making about $11 /hr as a PA

had a GSA get a EX this year and a thirty cent raise. this freakin railed me as she was reamed out by the stl for not watching the lanes and yakking somewhere. this is nothing new on this GSA's part she does that all the time. how how in the name of the allspark did she get that raise?!

We haven't even had our reviews yet because our freaking ETL-HR hasn't SIGNED them!!!! They've been done for a few weeks and our TL is just waiting for her signature to give them to us :dash2:

I think anything above an E is truly just speculative and favortism. I mean seriously who can go ABOVE what is expected when the expectations are always so damn high. At least this is how I feel in Pfresh. This is the definition of an E, EX, and O

E- FULLY meets and sometimes EXCEDES position requirements. Demonstrates full understanding of all required functions.

EX- Clearly excedes job requirements. (I suppose this would be easy if your store has dirt low expectations) Makes significant contributions(what does this mean?) well beyond job demands. Provides thorough and attention to accomplishment of assigned position responsibilities with limited direction.

O- Performance over a sustained period of time is clearly and consistently exceptional; continually exceeds all expectations of what is required or should be accomplished. Both results and how they are achieved are exceptional.

I dont know how much more I can do. I am crosstrained in Backroom, Salesfloor and Electronics. I pull and backstock to help backroom when they need it. I take care of cardboard if we have mixed pfresh and backroom cardboard, I always fill the hand baskets in market and mini seasonal since they are almost always empty. The LODS push reshop on us in the morning and night. We zone all of dry market along with pfresh. We only have 1 person for coverage in pfresh the whole day from 7-8 with no overlap too. Our store was number 1 in the district for our total pfresh score last year and the only store to have all green steritech visits. Ive been the only consistent person over there the whole year and from the start. When our CTL got moved to Planno/Pricing TL we were without a TL for about 2 months and in that time with me getting all the CTL shifts our scores went to high greens and #1 in the district when they were sitting at bare minimum green and some were borderline yellow. I also was the leader for our overnight ad team. All this along with all the usual pfresh routines.

And what do I get for my review....E. I didnt expect anything more and am fine with it, im not mad or anything. I just dont know how anyone can get higher than an E since E is basically doing your job and sometimes going above and beyond.

I'm expecting an "E", but honestly feel I "deserve" an "EX". I consistently go "above and beyond" and simply do what needs to be done. I don't need to be "told" to do most tasks and have been put in charge of many "special projects", all of which were completed accurately and on or ahead of schedule. There are other reasons as well, but listing them would be a dead giveaway as to my RL identity if I listed them B)

In a hudde my ETL told my team to not expect big raises this year like the last. Not expecting much.

i've been at target ~6-7 months, and -in my opinion- i do quite a bit better than those around me.
not that that's a very high standard to surpass.
i got mostly E's and a couple IE on my review, and got a .17 raise.
should i keep at it and see how next year goes, or ask politely for a bit more of a bump?

You can ask all you want, but in my experience it isn't gonna help you one bit!

Are the % increases the same as last year? It seems so.. Can someone fill in the blanks?

O- 6.5%
EX- 4.5%
E- ?
IE - ?
U - ?

E-3%
I-1.5%
U-0%

I'm just guessing. But I'm pretty sure EX-4.5% and O is just 6%
