So during the huddle, we were told that starting today we can take the Best Team Survey and that we will be called in groups of 3 and be escorted to take it soon. Its apparently anonymous though I find myself feeling skeptical.

I've been told that this survey is mandatory and wanted to know if its mandatory for everyone and what is generally asked?

It isn't mandatory but it seems they strongly suggest you take it. My first year they only seemed to ask select people to take it, this past year they made sure everyone took it. They ask you to rate leadership, all the way up to the DTL who most tms have never even met.

It's not mandatory however stores and leaders are judged on how many tms take it. Hence the "you have to take it" spiel they gave you.

Their bonuses are tied to it so expect food in the breakroom this week.

Well, the ETLs/TLs have made smoothies in the break room today.

They trying to butter me up??

Best Team Survey and food in the breakroom are synonymous in the month of May each year. I would like to think that corporate would forego the BTS crap (and all the $$$/resources that are used on it) and just give higher pay either via merit raises or via starting wage. That is why people work.

When our instocks tm can't get a mydevice and our backroom opener can't get a pda we might need more equipment

Our HR tm divides up equipment so this doesn't happen. Work centers that need devices: backroom, SFS, receiving, price change, and instocks get them. Plano gets anything left and the LOD gets one, but if there's none left after that oh well.

Just took my survey, lol at the "I have the tools and equipment to do my job" question. When our instocks tm can't get a mydevice and our backroom opener can't get a pda we might need more equipment

I was being hunted down to take it during the end of my shift but I managed to busy myself with guests to get out of it for now. :D

Due to the remodel, there are NO mydevices by 6:20am, leaving instocks to beg for one and for HR to call us out to give it up. Around 8am, there are no PDAs either and backroom had to beg.

I feel like stores are allocated enough equipment to do their jobs. It's up to the stores to educate TMs on how to maintain the equipment so that they aren't lost/broken. My store was allocated 10+ PDAs and 20+ myDevices and when I cared enough about people having that equipment to do their job properly, there was really only ever 1-2 myDevices down, leaving 28+ pieces of equipment to operate with, which is MORE than enough.

I tried getting buy-in from my peers (leadership) about the importance of maintaining them because I wasn't going to do it alone forever. Last time I checked, we had 7 working myDevices, almost perfectly cooordinated (not intentionally) with the BTS.

Based off your store's negligence, you may not have enough equipment to do your job properly, but that's not Spot's fault for not giving you enough. I'm sure at your higher-volume store, you're allocated 40+ pieces of equipment.

You really going to spout that company line bullshit?

Leaders have the ability to ensure tms who do not need a device don't take one. They dont.

Corporate knows that no store has all their devices working. That we have to constantly send devices back and forth never having them all working at the same time. It would be an investment to make sure stores have more than enough to account for the attrition we all know too well.

You may not have a hard time getting equipment because the LODs have a designated mydevice in the executive office. Good for you. Acting like we should accept the lack of equipment is bullshit and you know it, shame on you.

Um yes it is their fault. If they want the job done properly they have to provide the equipment necessary. That's what a freaking job is. I don't care if some TM is going around smashing them on purpose. That TM can lose their device privilege but the other TMs still need the equipment.

Go ahead and give that spiel to your team right before they take the survey.

You don't work at every Target store. So, what happens in your store doesn't happen in all stores. ASANTS
