Archived Demotion/partial unemployment question

If a leader demotes themselves and thier hours drop immensely can they claim partial unemployment?

I understand hourly wage will decrease, but if you were getting 39-40 hours a week than become a TM instead of a TL by your own choice, can you qualify for it if they slash your hours.

This hasn't happened but was just wondering.

No, that’s not how it works. That’s not how any of this works.

You’d have to look at your states laws and policy. My state will let you get unemployment if you have had a significant decrease in hours- I looked into it since I had avg hours of 36 before modernization and now i’m at 27. My state will supplement you up to 32 hours.

I doubt that unemployment is an option since it was your choice. Apply and see if you are approved.
