Well, after only 9 months as an ETL-AP, I am leaving Target. I feel so free! Hopefully i'll eventually get my soul back and i'll be able to stop talking like a Target robot very, very soon. I didn't get escorted out of the building when i gave notice like some people warned, so i'll be working out my two weeks. It's been interesting, Target. No hard feelings!

Any other former ETLs out there, what did you do with your new spare time? Now that my new job is only 40 hrs/week, i'll have so much more free time.

Congrats! I'm neither an ETL nor done with Target, but this past year has been first time either in or out of college where I have weekends off (Have a 40hr M-F a week job and Target M-W for less than 5 hrs a day). I'm assuming you have weekends off now. Take a few weekends in a row to just do absolutely nothing. Sleep in, make a good breakfast even if you wake up at 2, and just don't do anything. In fact one of those weekend, set your alarm like you had to get ready for a morning shift, and then when it wakes you up, be like "Oh, wait! I can sleep in" and go back to sleep. It feels good to do. Other days get up early so you're not sleeping the day away. I swear, I will never work weekends again.

Here's hoping they let you make the full 2 weeks so you can go out classy on your last day.

Good luck in whichever new job you get. :) I felt the same way when I quit target a few years back but coming back things are going good again.
