Getting Hired?

Hello all -- I found this website today because I was searching for some answers.

So -- 10 years ago, I was "let go" from Target because of an incompatibility of where I was working (and being under trained), despite asking to be moved and helped when I got overwhelmed and neither of those things happening. Am I able for re-hire?

I live elsewhere and I've applied twice - once last year and once this year but I keep getting a rejection email, saying they'll keep my application on hand of a role that matches my preferences opens up. I applied for cashier or barista work, both of which I have quite a few years of experience of.

Is it because I don't have open availability because I'm a college student? (Went back to school as non traditional) Or am I on a don't rehire list?

Asants but at my store they will look at the availability and if it's not open they wont even consider.

Have you thought about finding a job at your college? It would work with your college schedule better than them because you would go to work at the place you get your education so they be more flexible.
