Hello beautiful people!
I'm hoping to get some experiences and advices from all of you regarding my situation at Target.
I work in FA and I recently applied for gsa. I was pretty much asked to apply for this position and aaparently a lot of people have faith in me. We're currently just waiting for the end of the interview process.
In the meantime. ...today I heard that our HR put her 2weeks notice in. One of my ETLs asked me if I had experience in clerical and if I would be interested in the position. I let him know that I had some experience back in my home country and that I would love to apply the position, I told him that if he knows me even slightly, he knows that I want to geow and develop, doesn't really matter where. And when it came down to the job itself I know I am wasy too stubborn to not learn and I strive for perfection and I am a fast and avid learner.
He also said that due to my very neutral relationships around the store, I would be a good candidate for the position.
Anyways, I am asking for your thoughts. What kind of skills would you think are necessary to move to HR? Would it be worth to try master excel or quickbooks before the position opens or is it not necessary? What kind of position is it (TL, specialistic, other)? Which one is more stressful, higher pay grade? Anyone has had HR experience?
I would love to have a shot at hr because even outside of Target it would be a nice addition to the resume but I really want to make sure that I am fit for the position so that I won't lose my job in case I got it!
Anyone cares to share their wisdom?
