I was in a store that completed their Home Reinvention and holy shit it is killer! Does anyone have theirs done yet? I think ours starts next week. Looks like a section of Macy's, although there are so many fragile things on displays in the middle of the focal aisle I cannot help to think there's gonna be cleanups everyday.

are all Targets getting this home reinvention or just some? i've been to a couple of Targets in my area besides my own and they already have theirs done but it seems like there isn't any hope for my Target to get any type of reinvention

I heard store leadership discussing this, and after the pilot, the extent to which stores get this, and the accompanying toys reinvention, will depend on floor space. Some stores may get a partial reinvention, some may not get it at all.

This assumes my leadership has accurate information, and weren't just talking out there you know what.

My store is getting a partial remodel this summer. I'll probably start a little blog post to show progress as my area of the store (front end) is getting most of it.

SFS, Pharmacy Room, EE, Home, and Self Checkout here... but perhaps I've said too much! ;)

EE remodel I love, though I may be a bit based. Home is a bit confusing now with respect to where everything is located, but looks quite nice overall.

We are getting all that this summer. I'm pumped!

Self Checkout is coming to my store for sure, and I know we're also getting the Starbucks oven.

Knowing my luck, my fucking store won't get it at all. We are way too small.

Other than SFS, we got all of that. Doesn't Increase hours at all

They just finished the home reinvention at our store and are currently working on building target optical. It does look quite spiffy

Wow, building a new Target optical?
Spot was killing those as past he could a few years back.

The store built last year in King of Prussia has an optical.

I'm overnight for our remodel. I think about quitting every day. Target needs to have trained remodel specialists that travel from store to store to conduct remodelsinstead of making an ETL in your district be the ETL-Remodel. I know we have FISes and OSRs, but they are not there enough to be helpful. They need knowledgable, trained people in the stores conducting them. I have no problem implementing my ETL's plans each night...except there usually aren't any and they are insanely unrealistic when there are some.

It looks cool if it's full and neat. The store where I worked and frequently shop, has barely any product on the shelves. It looks bad. And it's been complete for a while, it's not like they're not done setting.

Seriously who the F does Target think they are with this? Ikea? These pictures are taken literally after they are set up and the lights come on. The overnight crew won't give two shits about these displays, who is going to maintain this, the salesfloor TM making $9 or the other one who barely speaks English? Target is a great place to work, it is really, but it's these asinine concepts Target does to "differentiate" itself from Walmart lately. Can we at least sell Rit clothing dye like we used to?

The displays will be maintained by the new Visual Merchandising team and tl I would presume. Idk, I guess I don't think it would be that hard to maintain and stock. It's just like when there were tables in rear for Global Bazar, Halloween, The Great Save.

Ours have looked pretty good for most of the time. If they let the VM do their job it's not that hard to keep up.
