Archived How to get noticed for a TL position

So at the end of the year my store is going to have a market and backroom TL position open
There is a few people that are supposed to take over but nothing is set in stone yet and one dosent want to be a TL in the first place and the other dosent have the attude to run a team successfully but is what i have heard will be the TL for market.
At my store the only way to get promoted so by being asked by the management team. So how can i get noitced as a leader and not a tm
So i have a chance of being ending up on there choices for who to make a team leader

the first step Is to make it known that you're interested. Past that, work hard. Find something that isn't working well and come up with ideas to fix it. Implement that plan and fix it. Ask for feedback from your leaders and work on improving your opportunities.

Start asking questions to your leadership on how to become a TL. Let them know of your accomplishments and goals. Speak up at huddles

Get a degree and pretend your better than all of the TMs in your store....oh wait, thats to be an ETL.
