You'll most likely need combat gear.

I'm guest services tonight. I expect it to be a lot of, "the cashier forgot to give me the 10% off" madness, mixed in with the pre-holiday return rush, mixed in with the "what do you mean I can't return this iPad that I paid cash for and lost the receipt" ridiculousness.
Damn...I need some of that breakroom keg before I even leave for work!

Here is one of Annie's cookies instead.. A beer will be waiting for you after work.

Yeah, save the beer for when you'll really need it.

I've only been at work for two and a half hours and I've already:
1. Been yelled at in the parking lot for not going fast enough (apparently I'm supposed to just run over people? Okay)
2. Cleaned up four (!!!) spills in market
3. Had the LOD escort one of the creepy guests from yesterday out of the store.
Also, our restroom is broken and we keep having to send people out to the mall...

This place is a madhouse. Send help.

Thanks guys :D and I wouldn't expect you to. Apparently we had low water pressure and the bathrooms were "really nasty." I didn't look to see what that meant...

The sad thing is that my target is attached to the tiniest mall in the area and usually isn't that busy. . Today was horrible though and we're having a nice little snow storm to top it off. Its 2:12 and I JUST got home (we got off a little after 1). I'm moving south asap. Maybe south america.

Hey! Sorry about the delay! I had an early shift & missed all the fun! But, I am here for ad setup at owl' store now. Let's go, team! Let's show owl on how spot was run in the old days.

Yeah, always let them know if it will cause you to go into OT. Sometimes, on a very rare occasion, when they are so desparate that nothing else matters, they will approve it. But it's rare.

Usually I only pull those shifts from hell when it isn't 4th quarter and hours are scarce and the only way to get extra ones is by pulling really long days. You know, in about 2 weeks when hours drop, then I'll go back to those as needed.
I've told every LOD (one our etl-hr) that I was going into overtime about every shift since last Monday. They just don't seem to care. I'm working tonight 4:30 until 1am and I'm already almost an hr into OT. I've been with Target for over 7 yrs and they used to tell you to come in later or leave early but not this time. It's really strange.

Did your STL approve OT for you? If not, let them know that the LODs are asking you to go into OT

We were all asked back in Sept if we would be willing to work OT. I had mentioned it to LODs when I was getting close but they didn't seem to care. Then one of my fellow TM said that she had heard our ETL-HR mention that she really didn't care if we went into OT at least this past week and Christmas week. Clocked out at 1:22am this morning.

Walked into the backroom and overheard one of the guys back there complaining about me. It be less irritating if he'd just told me what was wrong to my face. Or if the complaint wasn't complete bullshit.

I wanna go home. :(

Did you say hi to that guy? Do you have an issue with me? Let me know. Would be my answer.

I just walked away...I don't even know if he knows I heard.

I think all of us have had "not so good days".....when you leave work, mentally leave it there too. Remember that "This too shall pass,", and try to look at the positives from the day. Did you have a good conversation with a guest? Did someone thank you for doing something for him/her? When we dwell on the negatives, we are not open to see the positives that occur. Keep your chin up--better days are ahead!

It's just depressing because now I keep second guessing everything i do at work :/

Don't. If that person is complaining about you, they are complaining about everyone else. And that says a lot about them...not you. I don't know how much you heard, but decide if what you heard is valid or not. If you aren't sure, get the opinion of a TL or ETL. They'll tell you what's up and appreciate your willingness to take feedback.

Since you are Owl, I would walk up to the guy and say, "HEY! HOO you talking about? Me, Owl? Come on guy, tell me HOO!" Then have an "accident" with the baler. :)
