Hello, everyone! I am interested in working in a Distribution Center. I interviewed for a Group Leader position before but didn't go well. Any help for a second chance.
I'd like to throw my own questions into the mix as I've come to realize I would like to work my way up in Target through the DC. I posted in the Target store forum about ETL -Logistics and ETL- OPS but was told that Target typical doesn't start fresh ETL's in those positions, which were the only ones I was interested in. I am an Operations concentrator whose somewhat knowledgeable about supply chain and distribution. I'd like to work somewhere that I could apply my skills. Here's a quick snipet from my other post with the stuff about ETL's removed:
"I'm currently employed as a TM at my local store, though away on LoA. I will be graduating this year from a reputable university with a decent grade point average (above a 3.0) and am interested in advancing my career at somewhere I am familiar with. Queue, Target. I have no idea about the structure of Target distribution center employment. The best I could make of it was that the Group Team Leader is an equivalent entry level position to a retail store ETL. Does anyone here know how Target Distribution management is ran and what I should be applying for? My goal is to advance my career with specific regards to Operations Management, and possibly become a Senior Buyer or Supply Chain Manager as quickly as possible. My STL has a connection with a Target distribution manager up in Washington DC and he wants to forward my resume to her, but I'd really like more info about Target Distribution before I make that move. Any advice in relation to these question or my goals would be great!"
