Walmart doesn’t pay time and a half for holidays.
There are several federal holidays. Target chose to recognize 6 of them to pay us extra to work. They didn’t HAVE to.

Funny story, Walmart used to do holiday pay (I got scheduled OT that stacked with 1.5x holiday premium) but then they had an oinking epiphany about that, namely "what if we just DIDN'T pay people instead". Shareholders rise up.

TLs get 8 hours of holiday pay for the major holidays wether they work or not.

If you work memorial day for 8 hours you get paid for 8 hours of time and half and 8 hours of regular time.
If you off you get paid 8 hours of regular time.

It’s both.

Also doesn't really matter if your a TM or TL. It's based on average hours. When I worked relatively full time I got time and a half holiday premium pay or w/e on thanksgiving as well as bonus holiday pay - as a TM. That's probably still the case.

Plus hours worked on a time and a half day don’t count towards your 40 so you can get a pretty decent check if you grab the swap shift board. My cute and adorable and brand new ETL had idea what I was saying when I told another Tm they could in fact pick up another shift. Explaining to her payroll buckets was fun 😂
