This is primarily for TLs and higher. You were given training on your core roles as leaders. How much does your store abide by the book and how often do you stray course of corporates core roles for leadership? I'm just curious.

Core roles have been updated recently. Check on workbench for latest info. Last year, core roles didn't matter(per say)., depending on your store. Spot wants most folks to be global. It gives spot another reason why to reduce staff & payroll.

Yeah, they've got the whole "Team leads are global" thing now. I am just curious as to how far leaders or stores stray from using corporate guidance. Because from my understanding, they have set a core responsibility upon leadership that is very well intact with creating a great work space and driving sales. I also wonder if leaders were to follow the written guidance, how well their teams would do, or how much sales would be affected because it seems if it's all followed than you're destined to shine as a team lead. If every level of leadership is performing at corporate standard (which seems fairly simple to do) than no store should run into many issues. I've read what corporate defines as "coaching" and witnessed what leaders perform coachings as and it isn't nearly close to the book. "Coachings" at my store are performed as means to focus on the bad habits of individual TMs and a means toward a write up rather than actually being a leader and a coach by performing by example and uplifting the TM. It's as if they take pleasure in demolishing their own teams and tearing down the stores structure. Lol

We have team leads that can't even do the basics of the job, much less uplifting the TM, and leading by a [good] example.

If your a TL at my store it is pretending to know what the fuck they are doing....

Every time I tell one of our SLs TLs, new 7x11s came in for a recent transition and they are left at the fitting room, it get a deer in the headlights look, I have a feeling because they think it is my job to put them up, however, after asking our past Signing Specialist, as well as a Signing Spec who trained at our store for PPTL, as well as one of our plano TMs who used to be Signing at their old store my only responsibility over there is "Billboards and CSEs".
