You might not be using a holster or carrying case. Highly suggested to use one.

When I first started I had my walkie in an empty box and put it in the baler. I knew I did because I heard it going off in there. I prayed it would get crushed and shut the hell up. I went and got another walkie and went about my day. A hour or so later I heard over the walkie the baler crushing. Every time someone would crush boxes you would hear it over the walkie. I guess it would push the talk button. The LOD was pissed saying whoever is leaning on their walkie stop. Haha They never figured it out either.
