Archived Medical/dental eligibility

I have been with Target for about 6 weeks now, working from anywhere between 30 - 40 hours per week.

My account shows I am able to enroll in medical and dental, among other benefits.

I thought I wasn't eligible for these benefits until the 6 month mark. Is this a mistake? Or was I mistaken (re: the 6 months mark)?

If you recently lost coverage from another source, it may be enrollment under "life changes".

Hmm, no life changes here.

I just enrolled in a few benefits and it went through without issue. Wondering if individual state laws would make the eligibility requirements vary even though Target has a "blanket statement?" Will call the benefits hotline tomorrow and check.

Quite happy I got to enroll sooner...really hope it wasn't a mistake, haha.

Just an update. Called and confirmed it wasn't a mistake! According to the rep, my state's current laws enabled me to obtain coverage much sooner than the 6 month to 1 year service requirement to become eligible.
