Who is responseable for completing in your store. Sales floor team or logistics/receiving

Receiving, other than MMB return scan (not sure if that is called an MIR)

Receiving. Sometimes backroom team members will help receiver out during the week or the BRTL.

I was once asked by an ETL to search the sales floor for a MIR item and bring it to receiving, but generally the receiving/reverse logistics TM handles MIRs with help from the backroom team.

When I first started as Entertainment Specialist, I was expected to do it. But because I only have enough time to do my street dated stuff on Tuesdays and don't work Wednesday morning when the Receiving Team Member wants then done by, another Electronics Team Member does the ones on the Sales floor. If there is something for another department, we pass it off to that Team Lead. Someone in the backroom does the ones in the back.

Our receiver does it...however, if its a particular heavy week for MIRs the backroom team will do it. If they have a few extra hours they will let another receiving trained tm help out instead.

It falls on the receiver's my performance. When there is alot br will help pull. I willcheck the floor so it is getting done on time. When I cant find it I get will salesfloor to look. If we still cant find it let etl for log and ap know.

Ok.

Best practice is BR pulls the MIR batches from the backroom (stated in workbench under Logistics). Sales floor pulls the sales floor batches (stated sales floor TM core roles).

HOWEVER...... A.S.A.N.T.S

Way back in the day, the reverse logistics specialist would pull the backroom MIR's (and SWEEPS and on occasion help pull the M&M scan). The RL specialist had to know how to do pulls and other backroom processes. This was part of their learning plan, now it is not. The specialists for Electronics were responsible for pulling the sales floor MIR's. There was a specialist for books, movies and music (entertainment) and another for printers, software, TV's, DVD players, etc. (electronics). There was also a jewelry specialist that was given sales floor MIR's for jewelry and watches. Other MIR's for different depts. were given to the TL of that area, including QA's (recalls).

At the store I am at now the BR pulls from the back and the sales floor will pull the sales floor. I pull QA's before the store opens and any other MIR's that are not in electronics. If there are a lot of MIR's for electronics or if they need help and I can step away from my area I will help the sales floor pull.

At my store I am doing the backroom and the sales floor pulls. Mostly because our store has a red backroom and is never caught up on anything to have time to pull MIRs. I also don't really trust anyone at else at my store to do the pulls and pull the correct quantities. I actually end up having to backstock books most weeks so I can find the product for the MIRs, I also LOCU the books area of the stockroom twice a month because our BRLA% is so horrible. It really just depends on your store and if anyone has time to help with the MIRs. But know for sure that if MIR completion is red the receiving team member will get the blame.
