I'm new to the cash register. Where can I find a manual with instructions for the various scenarios you come across? Struggling a little.

Your gsa or gstl has training guide. Just ask for a refresher on red cards or ringing stuff up. They are glad to help you out.

I'm about as far as cashier as you can get so take this with a grain of salt but I don't think there is one. Your best bet is learning from the front end people who have been there longer than you.

The best manual you have is your GSTL/seasoned cashier.

I would call over the gstl or flash my register light if they weren't around when I had an issue which was often because I wasn't taught squat with the one hour of training I was given.

Regardless, always blink your light if you have questions. And don't look around aimlessly or stare me down at GS like I'm supposed to read your mind that you need help. Blink your light.

WIC can be really complicated, especially with the new card system. This is a definite blinker situation.

Not every store does WIC so it's tricky but yeah training at Target isn't great. Lots of trainers get disenfranchised by always training someone to just see them quit soon after
