Here's every position and what it pays

Are they serious? HRTM right now is already seriously underpaid compared to the same position at other places. Now, they are going to be at the lowest pay grade AND with no job differential. This makes me really upset.

Signing, price accuracy, presentation, and HR TMs getting this crap deal (low PG + no JD). Smh.

my issue is the raise is all about attracting people from other retailers at the expense of team members we already have. One would be naieve to think this is about satisfying existing team members.

True. But this also trapped me and maybe some other TMs. There isn't enough job dissatisfaction in the world to make me leave for a $9 position now lol. I may never get up to 15 if I take a pay cut to leave... But if I stay, I'm guaranteed it in a couple of years. I still feel a little unappreciated, but there's very few retailers paying better. I make more than a few tl-level positions I interviewed for at other companies. I'm probably never leaving.

Edit: trapped is an exaggeration, but leaving for such a big loss seems like a bad idea now more than in the past.

PREACH!

I know ASANTS, but in my store, I do ALL the orientations (as my ETL-HR doesn't "like to do them") as well as write the schedule along with the ETL HR. If they are on vacation/off, I write it by myself and itf it's over I'M THE ONE making cuts/changes. I used to share the position with another TM, but he quit when I was on maternity leave and my ETL-HR decided not to replace him. My leadership sees HR as a promotion....well, I knew I was underpaid before, this seals the deal.

Also, figuring where my team falls: most everyone will see some sort of increase EXCEPT for signing, pricing, presentation, and my receiver. And of course, me. Unload will see a slight bump because of the differential.

A&A is not just sorting reshop and zoning anymore. They do price change, push truck, set POGs and adjacencies, do research/RFID, and put up their own signing. I'm sorry if you don't think this is worth more than entry level, then you're crazy. I'm not saying other positions aren't worth more, but quit shitting on A&A.

There are a handful of rock stars on our A&A team. They are trained in the end2end process and deserve the increase. I have an issue with the rest of the TM's who come in, half-ass fold and hang clothes, and do their best to avoid the guests. They're the ones who will benefit the most from the pay increase, but don't deserve it.

Wonder if these new paygrades take place before or after the national bump up to $11. Really hoping it's sometime afterwards since it looks like presentation is getting screwed (unless we qualify as shift differential under logistics). Was looking forward to the 75 cent bump since I'm already at $11 give or take, but now I question if I'll see anything so that sucks.

And Ahem hit the nail on the head about this making entrapment worse. I have people telling me I could do better than Target, but how many places do they know that hire out of the gate at $11 that isn't a warehouse which is all there seems to be in my area.

Is SFS concidered Fulfillment TM?

Just wondering what the PG for SFS TMs is now, as I have totally lost all drive to stay as Signing TM after this.

I think it's meant to take effect at the same time at the minimum pay bump.

Yes, fulfillment (the position is called Fulfillment TM and the job is called Flexible Fulfillment). We get base + job differential, so nothing is changing (assuming the differential is 50 cents).

Receiving is actually being eliminated as part of the E2E process. All TMs will be required to know how to check in vendors and must process and sort their own defectives. The door bell will be replaced with a call box to ensure our vendors receive prompt service from the nearest TM.
Fast service needed by (pause) UPS (pause) at Back door. LOD are you responding?

Also already process my defectives.

When I was the Receiving Specialist or TM as its now called, the defective process was listed in Best Practice for a number of years that the Flow team was actually responsible for processing defectives and then sorting it to the appropriate place but have yet to see it being implemented in the stores I've been in and I tried to call it out during my time but my TL was a hard ass that it was just better to do it myself. I'm out of that area now and in a different store. Our poor Receiving guy has to work freight on the floor plus clean up his area and he hardly ever gets to defectives, its usually scattered throughout Receiving. I think stores that have been Receivers now might have it grandfathered in but will likely be phased out as our Receiver still works over there but he doesn't work all his 40 hours over there. My question on that process is who would be responsible for sweep, donations, CRC, and making sure ESIM is being implemented properly?
Flow TL or BRTL or a specific Senior TL

This may just be their way of telling tenured TMs that they are not capped out and are just out of luck with the new pay schedule. I get that they need to up the ante to hire people, but giving the middle finger to those dedicated ones is just wrong.
when has that stopped them?

This is interesting. I think, at the end of the day, by 2020, we're all making a minimum of $15. A lot of us were screwed last time they bumped base pay, I think Target's plan is to either have you deal with this or be fine with you leaving. This pay bump will cause tons of talent to want to apply at Target. Target will not miss you, there are 20 'yous' waiting in line. Even if they were somehow not as good, the loss is marginal.

That said, I'm very interested in what TL pay will look like compared to PG35. This will be telling as to how Target views its TLs...also interesting that APTL is now Sr. paygrade. Although, that's a job for chumps to take, anyway.

APTL in most stores means you're doing TPS, APS and ETL-AP work. Most APTLs I've known are lucky to have a full-time TPS and end up having to do the PI daily (kill me), work internals, deal with shortage, and try to find time to watch for externals. It's certainly worth putting at PG45, APTLs do far more work than your usual Senior, it just has never been worth it as it was nearly the same pay as APS.

As a Signing TM, the thought of 20 people waiting in line for my job is hilarious.

Well, nobody is twisting anyone's arm to stay.

That being said, I've been against this process everytime they do it.

What's an Open House TM?

I'm really pissed that Plano and Signing are lower pay grade than A&A TMs.

Like what the actual fuck? My A&A team can barely function on their own. They hang clothes. These idiots don't put up the signs, hell, I can barely get the A&A TLs to put their signs up. I know for a fact that the entire A&A team and VM team is incapable of changing the CSE. I know for a fact that they're incapable (A&A) or unwilling (VM) of putting up any overheads that we get. VMTL outright refuses to help with anything. Of course, she then proceeds to complain when the signs are in the wrong spot.

The TLs at my store don't order things. VMTL asks if I can do it. The sales floor TL in charge of electronics doesn't know how to. A&A TLs are barely functioning human beings. They all come to me.

Side note: I prefer that A&A TLs put their signage up so that they can plan their visual crap accordingly. I still change their CSE and anything that's particularly large.

A&A is not just sorting reshop and zoning anymore. They do price change, push truck, set POGs and adjacencies, do research/RFID, and put up their own signing. A&A at my store pushes truck, does their adjacencies, zones, and reshops. They don't put their own signage up. They don't RFID, and it would be a miracle to get them to do price change. Fuck A&A. I know it's just my store but seriously fuck them.

As the Signing TM in my store I am very, very, angry about this. I have 3 times the responsibility compared to A&A TMs.

I'm gonna start refusing to put their signage up now. Instead of just half-assing it because I don't know where it goes and their schedule of doing it, I'm going to just drop it in the fixture room.

Or throw it out. (Exceptions for CSE, overheads, and new brand stuff, of course)

A lot of positions are getting screwed here, but I think the Signing TM is being screwed the most. No signing TM will get a raise, and any who were right around the $11 mark will be making about the same as cashiers and less than softlines TMs.

Good luck convincing anyone to become the signing TM in the future...

Imagine how that interview is gonna go.

"Hey so you're gonna be the bitch of the store sound good?"
