If you are a high volume store, you may need seasonals to supplement to fill the demand for registers and trucks/stocking. I never considered seasonals working Guest Service or Electronics a good idea.
Don't get me wrong. I loved the extra hours during the Holidays.
Another click bait article. A holiday helper IS a seasonal position and I'll speak for my store -- Q4 even with seasonal hires our regulars can get 40 hours (should they want it)
Unless Wal Mart is giving overtime (They arent) they are just trying to get good PR
Even during the slow months they still have like 2 registers open at once with 15-people-long lines, good luck to them trying to manage without seasonals lol
I am in a ULV store and I couldn't imagine not having seasonal tms. I could only imagine the mess it would cause if larger stores didn't have them. I usually get near 40 during 4th qu even with there being more tms.
