2.5 years and I've never missed a day... I see where you're coming from, and it makes sense... I still don't think that should be rewarded with anything beyond a small giftcard or little perk though, showing up to your scheduled shifts is a job requirement IMHO, not the mark of an excellent team member.
I'd rather see people awarded for things that make them top performers (top cashiers for speed and service, fastest store pull times, most price changes completed, etc etc.) Showing up to work when you're required to be there doesn't exactly scream "excellent!"
