Not yet. Complete your 90 days first as cashier. Your gstl will decide if you able to handle anything different. Did you get any ESP's or aar on calculators this pass weekend?

be friendly, helpful, offer to help zone one spot, girls, fill bags or clean the registers, don't complain where guests can hear you.

You can offer to learn cafe/service desk - but most likely you should prove yourself as a cashier right now. Welcome!

Like HLM and Annie said, you should prove to your GSTL that you are more than competent as a cashier, and they will judge whether or not they feel you can be successful in another workcenter. Even though I originally applied for sales floor, I was hired as a cashier, and looking back, I'm glad because I found there was a lot more to hardlines than I expected and it would've been too much pressure. It helped to learn how the store works as a cashier before delving into other areas.
