The only thing I would add to the advice above is that in the future, when you submit a request for time off, also put a note in your ETL's mailbox letting them know about the request since you never see them to have a face-to-face discussion.
This!! I print out the request and put it in there with a thank you written on it, so they know exactly what request I’m talking about

Pfft. One of the last straws for me was needing a random, unimportant day off BADLY, having to pester my ETL daily about it being pending in the system, finally having to call them (because they were on vacation at this point!) and remind them it was going to auto-deny, being promised I could have the day off, buying plane tickets (at a $200 increase because I had to wait so long) and then having the ETL not only NOT go in and approve it (or tell the HR it was okay to) but actually schedule me on the day in question after all that, saying there was nothing in the system about it...
That ETL is an asshole. Full stop. Such shenanigans wouldn't fly at my store, and it sounds like your store has massively shitty management around call-ins. ASANTS and all that, and I absolutely would have bailed on a store like that, too, but it's hardly universal across the company.

I had time off approved but two of my days that I requested during that time off I was scheduled anyways. I told my ETL about it, she told me to see if I can find coverage for a specific day and she’ll take me off the other one but I checked Kronos and saw those two shifts are still there.

Am I going to get an unwarranted NCNS for those days even though I have approved time off?

If you have approved time off, go to HR. You shouldn’t be on the schedule.

There was one time I called the CVS and asked them to tell the LOD the phones weren't working and I needed to call out. The phones started working shortly after that and I could call out officially.

I am trying to call out for today with an injury. I can’t call the store, because it is closed And opens after my shift starts. I was trying to be a good employee and call and let them know 2 hours ahead but I can’t call in I even tried to go to the store but no one came to the door. I don’t have anyone’s number from work either, because I’m new. What should I do?

Have you tried to call? There should be some leader there who can pick up. Otherwise call as soon as the store opens.

Well you wouldn't be a NCNS until 2 hours after your shift, meaning you have the ability to call out 2 hours after and it would still be okay. Also when you try calling the store press the number 0 until the phone starts ringing and it should be able to transfer you to HR's office even if the store is closed. If you have a doctors note make sure you bring that in during your next shift for an excused absence. feel better!

You don’t come to the store with an injury to let them know you’re calling out why would you do that? There are always people in the store at least 2 hours before the store opens cuz they do trucks with the TLs, if they don’t pick up the call that’s on them every leader should sign in to the phone app in their zebbra, keep calling until they pick up the damn call you have 2 hours after your shift starts to call in or you will be a NCNS for good they wouldn’t like that but at least you don’t have a NCNS.

This information is completely false.

I think with the new phone system, you dial 9 when you get the automated message.
