Archived Your thoughts on a milk pallet

Our vendor would drop off the milk pallets in the coolers in the back. Didn't matter which one as long as it wasn't the freezer. We would then have to climb around over pallets like monkeys trying to find the damn 2% horizon organic milk for the guest on the floor. We would never bring a pallet...

    Archived Minimum Wage

Didn't happen in my case when I was with Spot. I started at $8.25 working in PFresh, which was 25 cents more than minimum and starting rate for cashiers and sf. Got two decent reviews and then promoted to HR clerical. Did that for a year and got an E on my review when minimum wage increased...

    Archived So long, farewell.

Just worked my last shift. I've been with spot for four years now, cross trained in multiple areas of the store and was a team trainer for three departments. I was promoted to HR and later became a GSTL. Unlike many people who post here, I genuinely loved my job, my peers, my execs, and most of...

    Archived Baby formula limit

Some states require retailers to limit sales of certain items regardless of sale. Any item that is WIC eligible must be in stock. All WICable formulas must have a shelf quantity >10 and a backroom quantity >10. look up "wic minimum stocking requirements" for more information.

    Archived Baby formula limit

My store does between 20,000 to 22,000 transactions a week. 3% would break down to 600 fraudulant transactions a week, or approximately 90 guests a day, which is 7-8 guests every hour. That's a lot. We limit formula sales because we need to have it in stock for babies who might need it. I have...

    Archived Acquiring vacation/ph hours.

Check your average hours on your pay stub. If it's over 20, you'll continue to accrue those hours

Archived Any HR savy people here that can help?

Store Leadership is not obligated to approve any swap shifts. They don't need to provide an explanation for it. Talk to your stl about it, but just be warned that you're digging yourself into a deep hole.

    Are you sure about that?

Archived ETL probably lied directly to my face, I believed her. Don't know what to do

You don't have the right to weekends off. Neither does anybody else who works for Target. It's part of the retail life and something that we all have to deal with. If she gave you weekends off, you'd be another person on the list of people who others can point to and say "they have weekends...

    Archived Taking a "Leadership" class

I went through the classes. You learn a lot about how Target leadership works. More importantly, the leadership team will start taking you much more seriously and possibly fast track you to get signed off.

    Archived 99.5% Chance I'm Fired.

Sounds pretty rough. My only advice for the future is to be careful with workplace relationships. I try to keep my work life and personal life as separate as possible for reasons such as this. Best of luck to you!

It'll be rolling out in a handful of test stores on October 5 from what I've heard

    Archived Ship to store?

Ship to store is almost exactly the same thing as flexible fulfillments, except it will be used if the item is not in stock at the store. The guest can request that the DC send it to the store. It'll arrive in a special box and be scanned into guest services where the guest can pick it up.

    Archived Compliance Violations

If you're in your probationary period (first three months), it can be an instant term. If not, you most likely won't lose your job over it. Just don't do it again.
