    Archived End of an era!

After 4 years my last day will be March 10th. Target was my first job, I started my freshman year of college as a seasonal team member. I've worked in every workcenter minus guest service, cart attendant, food ave, and softlines. A year in, I interviewed for the TL bench and waited for half a...

    Archived Backroom workload and hours

Is your store scan or push all and do you know what your average truck size is? Your schedules are pretty similar to mine.

    Archived Backroom workload and hours

Ahh that makes much more sense then. My store is entirely backroom based to I'm looking for stores similar to that, thank you though!

    Archived Backroom workload and hours

So on truck days you're still only scheduling 2 TM's for a total of 15 hours? Are you scan or push all?

    Archived Backroom workload and hours

With the new push to shift hours from logistics to salesfloor/instocks my Backroom schedules have been cut pretty drastically. So I had a few questions for the other backroom/logistics leaders out there. -How many hours do you schedule Backroom per truck day? (Assume it's 1 truck, 6am unload)...

    Archived AE 2017

Anyone else from a B/C volume store have a plan for the shift in backroom/flow hours? Curious to see what other stores are getting for Backroom and then allocating towards instocks.

Archived ETL Bench out of state transfer

One of my Sr.TL's is on the ETL bench (signed off on and passed interviews in our district) but she is considering moving to a different state. She saw an ETL opening in the town she is moving to and was curious if she can move directly in to the position if the store approves? My ETL-HR is out...

    Archived WARNING- tomorrow autofills

communication was sent out at the dtl level that the Autofill system is being adjusted tonight. Official word is to expect Autofills 15hrs+ larger then usual, it is required to pull-push-backstock everything that triggers. Anything not pulled will roll into the next batch, it is projected to...

    Archived Break policy

If it was one my employees I would have addressed it directly, I don't believe in having others do coachings for me and I'd rather find the root of the problem instead of escalating a situation. I was a TM once, I know life can be stressful and inconsistent hours are just one of many things a TM...

    Archived Break policy

I had a fellow TL approach me today asking how to address a situation in which their TM is taking additional "smoking" breaks on days the TL isn't working. They take these breaks on top of their 15's and lunch. I've never had a similar situation in my own work center so I wasn't able to offer...

    Archived Decode books

What does your store do with decode books? I've had a massive amount build up over the last 6 weeks in my electronics lock up. I've gone the standard route of pulling a set amount during 12 steps and having my team flex them out, but it's barely made a dent lol. Any suggestions?

    Archived Item Level Replenishment

I agree with the statements rocklobster said about letting the system work for itself and the reasoning behind reduced batch sizes. Yet I also was worried about product building up in my Backroom. Currently we're running manual cafs every hour on non-truck days to empty out the Backroom and then...

Is this Real Life? (A Market vent thread)

Yes it will. Again depends on volume but the Backroom TL should be involved in the rollout as they have a good understanding of the average workload per truck. 5 hours or more per truck is a safe estimate. A new Autofill and caf process will be rolling out next week.

Is this Real Life? (A Market vent thread)

Process ownership depends on the volume, but it should be the ETL food or consumables TL if your volume is large enough, otherwise it will be salesfloor ETL and salesfloor TL with added PA's to account for the org chart. The logistics ETL should not own the process, I've heard plenty of horror...

Is this Real Life? (A Market vent thread)

Once your store begins the grocery pilot all bowling stops for grocery. There is not a set time frame for completing the dry grocery push, it is now considered an all day process to ensure team members are on the floor interacting guests, zoning, checking dates, researching, etc.

Is this Real Life? (A Market vent thread)

Hours are decided in MyTime which now accounts for every step of the process (sales planners, revisions, pulling, backstocking, pushing truck, stocking, cleaning, etc). Stores are not allowed to schedule below that amount. One week I under schedules by 2 hours and our DTL had to follow up to make sure...

P-fresh. But deli and bakery TL's are impacted by this, can't remember what exactly. But all food based work centers receive a significant hours increase.

Is this Real Life? (A Market vent thread)

-Consumables hours essentially doubled/tripled depending on the truck forecast.Three PA's all working 40 hours, team members work a minimum 32. Team is responsible for all pulling and backstocking, the grocery portion of the GM truck, all FDC push, cleaning routines, sales planners/revisions...

    Archived Missed scan return

A TL from another store informed me today they missed their scan return for last week. Does anyone know what the exact implications are or if there is anything that can be done?
