experience in what, retail? After 9 years you're not a TL, or is that something you didn't want to become?
I have been trying to become a TL for a long time and working on my skills and reapplying each time the position opened up.
I apologize if my post sounded bad. My post sounded rough but it wasn't meant to be that way. Just curious to see why you weren't a TL yet.
I wonder why you have been overlooked. Check out Home Depot (which I heard was great) or Lowes. They have supervisor positions that pay well. Also Home Depot has online warehouses that only work M-F. My old ETL-Replen went there and is loving it. Doing the same job just M-F, better pay, better work/life balance.
9 years of retail can be a benefit if you are going into another retail position. If you want a supervisor position focus on tasks that you had that require supervisor skills. Think leadership more than physical labor. Focus on how that impacted numbers and how you contributed to maintaining Green scores.
