After our pfresh remodel, We kept getting calls for a non-existant dept (I forget what it was) & we couldn't locate it for anything. Turns out there was an extra callbox left in my ETL's office & a few other ETLs would set it off from time to time.

So if you use the codes that were posted, you can only set off buttons that actually exist in your store? I would love to confuse people with a call for help in meat or for additional cashiers to the Colorado lanes.

What the hell are the Colorado lanes?!?

iirc, the Pasadena store on Colorado Blvd has checklanes headed to the parking lot (add'l cashiers to the front lanes), and another set of checklanes in the back of the store leading to Colorado Blvd )add'l cashiers to the colorado lanes).

I once heard a callbox go off for a "carry out needed...at lane 13" when i did the restroom check on my last cart attendant shift. I honestly piped up on the walkie and said... "um....what ?"

I reprogrammed a spare button for one spot, oral care, carry out lane 1, and garden. Had a few people laughing, others really confused.

Haha thats awesome lol. Never heard that one either.

All Indymes clear by themselves after five minutes. So if it's phantom and it goes to third request, don't worry about trying to find it. Some are just corporate messing with the system and if two stores are really close, you can hear theirs over your walkies, although I don't think that affects your scores.

We lost a few call buttons during our retrofit... Mini-seasonal, furniture call button 2 (we never had a 1), GPS, and portable electronics.

I wish we had the Indyme call buttons. We have the red phones instead, so we can't mess around with them (the only Indymes we have are for the restrooms and the timeclocks). It would be nice to be able to send a "carryout at lane __" over the walkie when there's no GSTL around to answer blinkers. Plus, our team would have so much fun messing around with all the buttons.

Has anyone figured out how to activate these buttons without an actually button, like from the red phones or something? My CTL and a few of the boys in electronics really want to send people to the hoop hut.

Nah, it's gotta be hit. But, if you got the code, I can tell ya how to program it....;)

Aww. :( Luckily, we have some spare buttons in our SFT's office, which he rarely locks, and I have the signing specialist ready to program, muahaha. Unfortunately, we can't get the codes we want because the spreadsheet on mySupport is in a format that you can only open with Excel '10, and we don't have that on the computers at work. We really wanna try to hoop hut and Colorado hut ones!

How do you program it?

On the back of the call button, there's a pair of set tiny rocker switches. Flip the top one & you're ready to program the code.
On the front - say the code is 341 - you'll hold the reset button down until it begins to flash. Next you'll hit the button 3 times, hit the reset, hit the button 4 times, hit reset again, then hit the button once followed by reset. It will then flash the entire code sequence. Turn it over & flip the switch back to the original position. Test it by hitting the button & listening for the dept.
I have a list of codes somewhere.....lemme get back to you.

So, I found the list. Anybody want to know a particular area/department in particular? You name it, and it most likely exists.

Found out last that there are several codes on the list that have missing .wav files on Target's servers. We tried to set up a new callbox in electronics but all of the codes we tried would not work. Called 701 and was on the phone for an hour only to find out that the files were missing. Of course random call box messages totally unrelated to electronics worked.

I had some fun with the carry-out codes. I was reading on sharepoint how the "HELP" function on the register was supposed to trigger not just LPDA alerts, but also walkie alerts for change, carry out, and spills. Any idea on why they don't?

There were codes for photo lab and photo finishing. Why both?

I like the "Attention LOD, urgent guest matter at the front lanes."

Are there any for the AP team like AP assistance needed or something? That could be fun :excited: Heck, if the whole document could be posted....

Short of copying it code for code, there is no discrete way for me to copy the document. I'm not going to email it to myself then post it here. Too easy to track!

But, no, there aren't any AP codes. Just salesfloor.

I remember once we randomly heard a "Carryout needed at Guest Services! Whos Responding?" and our Cart Attendant was confused as **** lol.
