Archived Dynamic staffing

Our DC just switched from dynamic staffing to OM-decided hard staffing. All keys, all departments.

We were told this is a pyramid wide change. Anyone else already make the switch? How is it going?

No, we don't do that. Occasionally if we're short staffed or if they need people in specific functions then they'll hard staff a few people. But we've never had that in the five years I've been there.

Yup had this happen a few months back, it blows.

My DC switched. It sucks because some of us are stuck doing ART 3-4 days a week. They said it was all DC's switching, which is what they tell us about all changes.

We started this several months ago, but is slowly being rolled out across the dept.'s at different times. At least in our building, the OMs asked us what our favorite and least favorite functions were. They use these preferences alongside with what each of us excels at production-wise to make the staffing. It's not perfect, but for the most part it's been alright.
